Our Story
The origin of MLV is personal – and familial.
During the final years of his wife’s battle with cancer, our founder, Pat Martin, embraced the true value of “family vacations” — the art of making meaningful memories with the people you love. Consequently, he launched MLV to bring together incredible homes and incredible families for once-in-a-lifetime vacations.
In his own words, “We realized that hotels weren’t great for big groups or when we had our kids -or extended family- with us. We needed a big, fancy house with everything we needed right there. We wanted a place where everyone could sleep comfortably, have private spaces to hang out, and a kitchen with everything we needed.
That’s why I started MLV. Our main belief is that life is short and we should make the most of it. We think that experiences with loved ones are more important than material things. Our end goal is to help people make special memories with friends and family. We do this by working closely with luxury vacation homeowners to manage their homes and create New England’s most unforgettable short-term rentals.
